I think it's time for me to share another scrapbook layout, don't you? This layout was inspired by a 6x6 page I saw while I was at the Stampin' Up! convention in August. I love going to convention because in addition to just being FUN, I also learn so many new things. If you'd like to think about joining me at convention next year, check out this post for more information on being a demonstrator.
So, here's my layout. I didn't get a very good picture of the two page spread, but the individual page pictures turned out much better. :-)
On both pages I used Tempting Turquoise on my base. I sponged Tempting Turquoise over the background pages, then I used my Sponge Dauber to add some Whisper White Craft ink, which I rubbed into the shapes of clouds. For the sand going across the bottom, I used a few layers of Kraft cardstock with torn edges. I then used the Color Spritzer tool with the Basic Gray marker to add speckles to the sand for added interest. The sand dollars were created using the 1/2" circle punch and Whisper White and the starfish were created using the Small Star punch and Cameo Coral card stock. I used my Bone Folder to help add some texture to these pieces before attaching them to the page with dimensionals.
On the first page the title was created using the Big Shot and the Go Go Boots alphabet. The sandcastle was created using several pieces of Kraft cardstock, the Spiral Punch, the horizontal slot punch, and the new Modern Label punch.
The second page the date was also created using the Go Go Boots alphabet set and the Big Shot. The sun was made using Summer Sun cardstock. I first cut a circle with my Circle Scissor Plus, sponged the edges with Summer Sun ink and attached it to my page. I then trimmed the edges off. I took another piece of Summer Sun cardstock and covered it with VersaMark, then embossed with Iridescent Ice powder. I then used the 1 1/4" Square Punch to punch out 3 squares, which I cut in half along the diagonal. I placed these under the edge of the sun. The blank white square is for my journaling which I usually add after I take my pictures.
