Today's project is a wedding invitation and response card and a coordinating wedding shower invitation. I worked on these with a good friend for her sister's wedding.
I'm going to start by showing you the wedding shower invitation:
The colors used are Rose Red, Tangerine Tango and Summer Sun. The flower image stamped along the edge of the Whisper White layer is from a retired set, Looks Like Spring. We chose this image and colors because the bride was using gerber daisies in these colors for her bridesmaid bouquets. In the center of each daisy is a punched flower from the retired punch that coordinates with Looks Like Spring - I can't remember the name of that punch! If anyone remembers it, please post a comment and let me know. Thanks! Those flowers were put on with dimensionals and in the center of those we added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter using the two-way glue pen. The invitation details were printed directly onto Vellum card stock and that was glued to the Whisper White layer only on the left edge (so the vellum can actually lift up from the right). A piece of Rose Red ribbon served double duty as a finishing touch and to hide the seam. This piece was then layered on to a base of Rose Red.
Next up, the wedding invitation:
For the invite, we used the same base colors of Whisper White and Rose Red. We inked the love stamp in Rose Red craft and embossed with clear embossing powder. You can't really see the rest of the invitation in the picture above because there is a piece of Vellum that lifts up and the invitation details are underneath. Just like in the shower invitation above, a piece of Rose Red ribbonhides the seam and adds a nice finishing touch. This looks beautiful in real life, but I just couldn't capture a good picture of it with the vellum down. So, here's what the inside looks like with the vellum lifted up:
The wedding invitation was printed directly onto the Whisper White card stock. After it was printed we stamped the flowers from Upsy Daisy in Rose Red craft and embossed with clear emboss powder. The invitation is then layered on a piece of Rose Redcard stock.
And here's the coordinating response card:
This was created same as the invitation, with the details printed directly on the Whisper White card stock. The flowers were also done exactly the same way, using Upsy Daisy, Rose Red craft ink and Clear Emboss Powder, but instead of using the whole stamp, we just stamped the right side so we could have just a few flowers here. The response card is layered on a piece of Rose Redcard stock.
And, of course we stamped the envelopes as well, but I forgot to take a picture of those. We just stamped the envelope flaps with the same flowers from Upsy Daisy in Rose Red classic ink.
