Card Purse and Cards

Here's a project I made last month as a donation for an event at the elementary school one of my daughter's attends.  Some of the pictures didn't come out very well, but I no longer have this project, so you'l have to forgive me for some of the shaky pictures.   The first picture shows the card purse: 

I used the Sending Love DSP, which is only available until the end of this month.   I LOVE this paper!  Every piece has glitter somewhere!!  Actually several of the producst I used for this set are only available until the end of the month.  Most can be found in the Occassion Mini. Here's what the purse looks like when it's open:

The cards and envelopes tuck into the pockets on either side.  This purse holds 8 cards and coordinating envelopes.   There are 4 different designs, and I made 2 of each.

Leadership Projects

Several of you have asked about seeing what I made while I was away earlier this month.  So... here they are.  We staged a picture of all our make and take projects, complete with chocolate.  We can't stamp without chocolate, ya know. ;-)  And do you see that flower punch in the right side of the photo?  That's one of the new punches, available in the Occasions Mini.  I love the new punch design!  And how about that little milk carton in the middle of the page... too cute!  It was created using the new die in the mini catalog.

All these projects were made using the With All My Heart Stamp set from the Occasions Mini.  Did you know that the stamps in the Occasions Mini are available in wood mount AND clear mount now?  I'll post more on that later this week!  If you don't have a copy of the Occasions mini you can download it from my right side bar. Convention Pics

Wow - what a crazy summer this has been so far.  First, our fabulous family vacation to St. Thomas.  We had a wonderful time and I'm sure sometime soon I will be posting some scrapbook pages from that trip.  Just one day after returning from vacation I was boarding a plane again for Salt Lake City to go to the annual Stampin' Up! convention.  Wow - what I great time I had this year.  There is so much going on right now and I'll be posting a lot over the new few days to tell you all about it, but for now I thought I'd share with you some of the awesome projects I saw while I was there.  These projects were demonstrated by our awesome CEO and co-founder, Shelli Gardner.  I am amazed at how creative she is!  I hope that by sharing these with you it will inspire some of you to create their own projects.  If you have any questions at all on any of these projects - or if you would be interested in a class that would provide the materials plus directions on how to create any of these, please let me know by emailing me or leaving a comment below.  Scroll down to view the projects and enjoy!!

A Good Egg Easter Basket

Don't you just love the little chick from A Good Egg?  This is a perfect stamp set for Easter.  Here's a basket I created at my upline meeting earlier this month.  Who wouldn't love to get a basket like this?    

The basket was created using the Stampin' Up! exclusive Baskets and Blooms die.  I used Apricot Appeal paper stamped with the flower image in Lavender Lace.  The chick was stamped on Barely Banana and Lavender Lace, and the Lavender Lace piece was cut out and attached over the Barely Banana piece.  His beak was colored in with a Stampin' Write marker and he was attached to the basket with dimensionals.  The greeting is from the same set and was attached to the basket using silver cord and the white grosgrain ribbon.   Leave me a comment and tell me what you think?  I think he's just the cutest!  Oh - I almost forgot the most important part - the basket is filled with purple Easter grass and purple Easter CHOCOLATE candy!  Watch my blog next week for details on how to assemble the basket.

Love Book

Today's project is a small book I made that I am giving to my husband for Valentine's Day. Here's what it looks like from the front:

  

I started with two pieces of Very Vanilla an one piece of Pink Pirouette.  Each piece measures 4 1/4 x 11.  All three pieces were folded over and then scored 1 " from the fold.  I then wrapped some dsp from the Candy Lane collection around this part, punched holes with the crop-a-dile and set some jumbo eyelets with pink pirouette ribbon tied through them.  This created my book. The mainimage is from Love You Much.  It's stamped in Chocolate chip on Whisper White.  I then used the scallop edge punch to punch out some scallops from either side of the image and wrapped some pink pirouette ribbon through the open spaces.  This was layered on pink pirouette and riding hood red before being attached to the book front.  The image was colored in using my blender pen and riding hood red ink.  The hearts along the edge and the heart over the "O" were made with the hearts stamp from Love You Much inked in riding hood red and stamped on pink pirouette cardstock.  They were cut out with the Heart to Heart punch before being attached to the rest of the book from.  The hearts along the edge are attached with snail, and the edges are cut off.  The heart over the "O" is placed on with a dimensional.  You can't see the very vanilla pages on the inside very well, but I tried to get a better picture here to show you how it opens like a book.  

 

When I took this picture the pages were blank, but I think you get the idea.  You can fill the pages of this book with pictures, notes, drawings, whatever you choose.  Let me know what you think.
